You can usually tell when a punk band hails from Chicago. The windy city breeds a unique type of punk rock, not as poppy as the west coast and not quite as gritty as the east. The Brokedowns represent my fair city well. New Brains For Everyone is a collection of twelve of the finest punk anthems. Fast, crunchy guitars provide the perfect backdrop for smart, growly, and witty vocals. Most of the tracks have great gang vocals, perfect for grabbing the mic and singing along to.
